@ Love B: Just because you're a virgin doesn't mean you can't get herpes!. When I first found out that I contracted herpes my BF at the time got tested and he didn't have it, which means I didn't get it from him!. I hate to scare people and burst bubbles but you can contract herpes without having sexual contact with another person!. Doctors don't like to tell people this because it does scare them but a friend of mine got confirmation from her doctor that you can in fact get herpes by coming into contact with an object that was contaminated, such as a toilet seat!. The virus that causes herpes can survive for a little while outside the body if it's in a fluid and that was more than likely how I contracted it!.

@ jaime: The blisters you get from herpes don't always hurt!. I have genital herpes and the first and only outbreak I had [which I had over 2!.5 years ago] DID NOT hurt!. Each case is different because each person is different!. I've read that some people experienced itching, others said it hurt, and then with me I didn't feel anything!.

Also, the first outbreak is, like you were getting at, is the worst but it won't be all over the place for everyone!. Mine was confined to a small area around the inner lips of my vagina!. So once more, the initial outbreak is different for each person!. Some get it worse than others just like some people will have a reoccurring outbreak every month, some every year, and some will never have another one after the first for the rest of their lives; though I completely agree that this person doesn't have herpies!.

@ whisper: You don't need to be mean, and just because you don't want to hear about someone else's personal questions doesn't mean everyone else agrees with you!. I do suggest that this girl see a doctor as that will be the only surefire way to find out what it is!. People here can offer ideas but a doctor can probably tell you exactly what it is!.

@ Cool Hwhip: I hope you go to a doctor and find out for certain or that it goes away on its own!. I currently have this same issue and I've had it once before!. It doesn't hurt unless I squeeze it a little!. Regardless, the last one went away on its own [and was strangely on the same exact side and in the same spot] and I'm assuming the same will happen this time!. If it starts to hurt or anything, however, I plan to go to a doctor and I really do think you should too just to get checked out and make sure!. Better to do that than freak out worrying!. [I'm not really inclined to worrying too much about little stuff like this even though I probably should be a little more so since I've only got one body!.]

I will say that it's not herpes!. Not judging from your description anyway, though it is a good idea to get tested for stuff like HPV as a lot of people are carriers!.

[And for anyone wondering: Zansatsu is usually the name I go by on most other sites so that's why I'm using it here!.]

Also: I always washed my hands, and still do, before I touch anywhere near my vagina!. I don't share clothes with people and yada yada yada!. You should know that soap, strangely enough will kill the virus that causes herpes as long as it's not inside your body already!. Also, you can get herpes anywhere over your body where a cut has been exposed to it, though as my doctor told me you'll only have one initial outbreak where the cut was but it should never come back in that spot again though you'll never get rid of the virus!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

TMI - if you are a virgin, there is very little chance it is herpes - unless you have had oral intercourse - then you are technically a virgin, but oral intercourse is still a form of sex in that fluids are exchanged and diseases can be passed on!. see a doctor if it persists - they can check it to be certian, also, when you shave, shave downward instead of upward - it isn't as close of a shave, but you won't have the ingrown hairs to worry about!. good luck!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

I wouldn't worry!. It is probably an ingrown hair!. You need to treat the skin for ingrown hairs (you can google this) You cannot get herpes from toilet seats!. You can get it from another persons hands, mouth, your hands and your mouth and saliva!. If you decide to masturbate vaginally make sure whatever it is is clean!. Good luck clearing up your problem!. I think if you shave you may want to switch to a beard trimmer for a while instead so the hairs don't in-grow!. Www@Answer-Health@Com

It probably is nothing more than an ingrown hair, especially if you have never had sex!. The only way to know for sure is for you to go to the gyno for an exam!. If it's a bump it could be hpv, I've know a few girls to get it as virgins!. But if I were you I would just go the doctor so you can figure out for sure!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

i promise its not herpes, herpes are blisters that hurt and its terribly itchy at the same time and although usually are small!. the first breakout, before immunity catches up will be all up your crack all over in and out labia, even inside and pain to sit and pee!. so no its not herpes!. Www@Answer-Health@Com

It's probably an ingrown hair or a small cyst!. Soak in the tub with hot water til it cools down!. Do this a couple of times til the bump busts!. If that doesn't work you'll need to see your gyno and he'll have to pop it!. Www@Answer-Health@Com

i seriously doubt u have herpes if you have never had genital to genital contact before!. in grown hairs do hurt!. that might be the problem, or did u shave down there!? i would wait a while and if it doesnt go away, call your gynoWww@Answer-Health@Com

Sounds like you have an infected gland, especially since you are a virgin (although remember that if you've taken part in oral sex or any kind of genital to genital contact, STDs are definitely a possibility)!.

"Bartholin's Gland Cyst

What is the Bartholin's gland!?

Most women don't even know they have a bartholin's gland, (I don't know why that is, we learned about them in school)!. It is a tiny gland inside each of the labia near the opening of the vagina, one gland on each side!. They produce fluid that lubricates the vagina!. There are tiny ducts in the gland and if those get 'clogged' up by skin cells or secretions, it can form a cyst - (a fluid filled sac)!. The cyst can grow from the size of a dime to larger than a golf ball!. They can be tender and very painful when they are infected!. Sometimes they aren
