That's definitely a good age to start a period and it's likely to be the average age!.
I was nearly 12 when I began my period but I was bit embarrassed because my mother mentioned about it to alot of parents at the school!. Also the deputy head came up to me and asked if I needed a press on towel :S

I got mine when I was 10, in primary school - so not prepared for it mentally and physically!.
There was a girl at high school that got hers when she was 15!.
My mum had told everyone! They all congratulated me!.
Was so embarrassed - I was like whats so good about getting your periods (the curse)!. Well it is a good sign, meaning that you are fertile!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

11-13 is normal!. Lots of exercise can play a role in delaying it!. And of course diff people's bodies are different!. But yeah 11-13 ish

You might think I don't know anything cause I'm a boy but boys do sex education as well and I think the age is from 8-15 but the average age is 13 so its nothing to worry about!. I know some people who started at 10!.

The average age is 12!.5 but you can start anywhere from 8 years old right up to 16! :)
