Question: Itchy vagina and weird discharge -- infection or STD!?
my vagina--around it and even inside it--is insanely itchy, red and swollen, and i've been getting excessive amounts of almost clear discharge with a bunch of white chunks in it!. a lot of times there is burning during/after peeing!.
i'm 17 years old and although i'm not currently sexually active, i was for a short time about three weeks ago and one time i had unprotected sex!. my question is, are these symptoms more likely to be those of some kind of vaginal infection or some kind of STD!?

These symptoms can be related to both an std or infection!. Either way, you will not know until your doctor examines you!.
Do NOT take anything over the counter for it unless your doctor tells you to do so!.
In the meantime, wear 100% cotton loose fitting underwear and use a panty liner (change often), refrain from sex, use a mild soap when bathing and drink a couple of glasses of cranberry juice a day!.
You will need to ask your doctor if this is something your boyfriend could also get because he may need treatment too depending on what is going on with you!.
Do get in to see your doctor!.

That just sounds like a yeast infection to me!. They are very easy to clear up, just go to/call your gyno and s/he will prescribe you a prescprition (mine was a single pill) that clears it up in no time!. It really is best to make an appointment though just to be safe!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
