Why is she so obsessed?!

Question: Why is she so obsessed!?
Okay, so I'm 14 and just started my period recently and my best friend who's a little bit older hasn't!. She gets all jealous when I have it!.!.!. I'm like, Uhh, its not fun! But she wants it soooo badly!. I had to watch her pets when she was away and I was allowed to use anything I wanted at their house, So I went on her computer and was going on face book, but the history popped up and everything had to do with her period! She searched like, When will i get it!? Why don't I have it!? My friend has it!. And many many more!.

Is there something wrong!? I mean, I know she's eager, but thats all she ever wants to talk about! It's soooo weird :S

Opinions Please!.!.!?Www@Answer-Health@Com

I know one girl who got her period in grade five (10 years old), another who got it when she was just out of highschool (17 yrs old) and another who got it when she was around 19-20!. There is nohing wrong with her! she simply is a late bloomer, like my friend (a VERY late bloomer!)!. She should get it soon!. Just reassure her that its no fun AT ALL and that she will get hers when time comes!. I got mine when i was 14, and all my friends already had them for like, two years!. I know how she feels, you feel like a child amongst young ladies and the feeling sucks!. But eventually I got it and we actually had a celebration at school! When I told them, they screamed with joy because now they didn't have to be discrete in fear of grossing me out!. It doesn't matter when you get your period, you just have to be happy with yourself!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

If all her friends around her have it then she might feel like she's the 'kid' of the group or something because she hasn't started it yet!. maybe shes also concerned deep down that maybe something is wrong with her because she doesn't have it yet!? Have her ask her mom at what age she started!? It's normal to get them at 14, 15, sometimes even 16!. Tell her to enjoy this time cause once it starts then she's going to be stuck with it for the next 40 years! lol!. Www@Answer-Health@Com

Tell her that you're there for her and stuff but as soon as she gets it, she will hate it!. Also maybe go to the doctor's with her just so she can get a proper second opinion!.
I'm sixteen and I started when I was EIGHT!. I didn't even know what it was, I had to go into the older class's sex ed lesson!. Not good!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

i was obsessed to!.!.!.i wanted it so bad, but when i got it i regreted ever wanting so much!.!.tell ur friend she should be happy she doesn't have it yet!.!.!.tell her that when she gets it, that shes gonna have to plan things around her period!.!.!.!.it's not fun, especially in the summr time!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Girls can start their period from 10 to 16 and some even at 17!. But you can tell her mom so she can help her!. (assuming that her mom is a friendly person!.) Doctor can tell a lot more than us!. But I am about 95% sure that this is normal for her!Www@Answer-Health@Com

That's really creepy she's so obsessed with her period!. I was 12 when I got it and I hate it!.!.!. I'm almost 16 now!. The first thing I said was "NOOOOOOOO!!! YOU COULD'VE HAD SEX AND YOU DIDN'T!!!!!!" XD Seriously, does she know how much it sucks to have to worry about strenuous vaginal bleeding!? :/Www@Answer-Health@Com

If she's older than 14 she probably should have started already!. She probably thinks that there's something wrong with her because she hasn't started!. Bring it up casually and tell her that maybe she needs to see a doctor about it!. Www@Answer-Health@Com

Theres nothing wrong with her everyone starts their period at different ages!. She wants hers to feel like a woman!. But I tell you at 11 i didn't feel like a womanWww@Answer-Health@Com

shes worried!.!.!. cut her some slack!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

I didn't get my period until I was 14, and I was a bit worried, but not obsessed!. Both my older sisters had gotten theirs at 13, and my best friend got hers when she was 12 or something!. It's unnerving, though, thinking that you may not get your period!.

My little sister got hers a year after me and was totally being mean to me about it!. "I'm nice on my period, why aren't you!?" And I'm like, "Lord! You've only had one freaking period and you're only 12!"

Just be sensitive to your friend!. Tell her not to worry about it!. Tell her it's no fun and that she's lucky!. The later she gets her period, the less time she has to deal with it!. Tell her you're jealous that she doesn't have to deal with it! Just make her feel better, and if she continues to obsess, tell her you aren't going to discuss it with her anymore!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
