I understand!.!.!. If your hymen hasn't been broken because of sex or other physical activities then it does hurt!. Everyone is different and some people hurt more than others!. It can be very traumatizing!. So from some of these answers, you see that you don't have to have a physical exam so- yay!. Www@Answer-Health@Com

No, you will not have to have a physical in order to get birth control!. Just be honest and tell your doctor for what reason(s) you would like to get it!.!.!.!.!.!.But, once you start to become sexually active you will need to go in for a physical/pap at least once a year!.!.!.depending on how many sexual partners you have!. Its not violating/creepy or traumatizing, on the other hand it is something which will make you more informed about your body!.

Look at it this way: If you are able to open your legs and have sex!.!.!.you should be able to open your legs for an examination by a certified gynecologist/doctor!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

They will usually give you a blood test before you start the pill (usually to make sure your not pregnant) and they also take your weight and blood pressure (which they will do every 3, 6 or 12 months depending on where you live)!.

Also if you have a family history of blood clots etc they will blood test you for that as the pill can cause blood clots if it runs in your family!.

But no they will not do a physical examination!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

no you don't have to have an INTERNAL examination to get birth control and they won't preasure you to do it!. but you do have to have an external examination like height, weight, blood preasure, and they will ask you questions and take a family history!. but thats it!.
but at some point they will start suggesting it and they will continue to suggest it over and over and over again!.
i'd say you might as well just do the examination!.
its not like its for their pleasure they are just trying to make sure you don't have a deadly disease down there!.

and can you explain how you were traumatized cuz it certainly isn't traumatizing to me!.

and it really doesn't hurt!.
i'm a virgin and i barely even felt the spectrum or when the doctor put her fingers up there!.
and i'm a very tight virgin like i can't even wear tampons cuz it hurts me and have the exam wasn't painful for me at all!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

It's possible to get birth control without a physical exam!. Some doctors don't do it especially if you're not sexually active!. (Mention that you want bc for cramps though, not birth control - they may have better suggestions!. Some people find they still get cramps!.) Also if you've already had an exam recently then they might not do it!.
