I have to go to a pool party today and i have my period?!

Question: I have to go to a pool party today and i have my period!?
My best friend's sweet 16 is today, and it's a pool party!. I really want to go, but i got my period yesterday!. I know I have to wear a tampon, but my question is: if the party lasts about 3-4 hours, do i need to change my tampon if my flow is kinda on the heavy side!?

ThanksWww@Answer-Health@Com

eitheer take 2 or the next absorbancie up if possible!?Www@Answer-Health@Com

Just to keep you worrying less, I would take a tampon or two with you and change after 2 hours since you are at the heavy flow now!. So change it after hour 2, and hour 4!. If you don't want to change it that often, i would suggest going up an absorbency so it will give you more time to hang out and swim :]Www@Answer-Health@Com

well if you read the tampon box, it says change it every 6 hours at the max (thats what mine say)!.!. but its always a good idea to change them when you get out of the water!.!.!. and your period will probably be heaviest today since its the second day!.!. so i would say change it only once during the party!. since its only 3-4 hours and you should be good :]Www@Answer-Health@Com

I would probably take some just in case you leak or it gets full!. I personally would change it at some point as it has less chance of filling up and leaking!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Yes - after you are done swimming I would change your tampon!. Or whenever you feel uncomfortable or heavy!. just be prepared!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Probably not!. You might want to change it after 4 hours, but it also depends on the absorbency of the tampon!. Www@Answer-Health@Com

Yes you should change about once an hour!. Water can absorb into your tampon and you don't want an embarrsing situation in the pool!. Www@Answer-Health@Com

When mine is heavy I change tampons every 30 minutes!. wear shorts over your suit!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
