I had this same problem when I was your age!. I used to have to stay home from school, it was the WORST!
I went to my doctor and she prescribed me some medication that I was supposed to take 2 days before, and 2 days during, it worked well for the cramps, however, it didn't lighten it up!. I eventually went on the birth control pill which lightened it up and made my cramps completely disappear! The pill also clears your skin up, and has many other great positive affects!. But be careful about the negative side affects like potential blood clots and decreased bone density!. Be sure to talk with your doctor or do some research before making your decision!. Good luck!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Talk to your doctor about it!. Some women get such awful cramps and feel really sick as compared to others and they actually need a prescription in order to relieve symptoms if the OTC stuff isn't working!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

My doctor prescribed Ketoprofen!.
Its like taking 4 ibuprofen ( which my doctor has also reccomended!.!.works great!)

Here's a link to some information about it :

You might have to see your doctor and talk to her about birth control!. It makes your period shorter and you will have less discomfort!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
