Question: Birth control effectiveness!?!?!?!!! HELP ME!!?
My mom was on birth control when i was conceived at age 17!.!.!.she was also on birth control when 3 of my 4 brothers were conceived!.!.!.!.i am on the pill and still use condoms because i fear that this well be the same way for me!.!.!.am i right in thinking this way!?Www@Answer-Health@Com

Yes you are!. 2 of my children were conceived while I was on Birth Control Pills!. Many things can effect and interfere with the pill, especially gastro- intestinal upsets and Antibiotics!.
If you combine the Pill, with the use of condoms then you are protecting yourself not only from unwanted pregnancy, but also STI's!.

For most people, the birth control pill is over 99% effective!. In most cases accidental pregnancy while on the pill is due to improper use, missed pills, or taking other drugs that reduce the efficacy (such as antibiotics)!. If you have been on the prescribed dosage for several months without missing a pill the likelihood of failure is extremely low (I have used BC for 10 years with no mishaps)!.
However, there are other things to consider when deciding to stop using condoms!. You expose yourself to a higher risk of many STDs, some of which like HPV (causes genital warts) have no cure, and show no symptoms in most men/women (but can cause cervical/penile cancer down the road)!. If you are planning on being sexual active with multiple partners, or your partner is/has been, you should definitely keep using condoms, even with birth control being effective!.
You should also both go get full STD checks before taking that next step!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Yes, but it is very effective when taken correctly at approximately the same time every day!. The majority (not all) of pregnancies that occur while taking the pill are due to human error!. I missed two in a row and just stopped taking them and got my pregnant with my oldest!. If you are using condoms you should be fine, but no sexual intercourse is 100% safe except abstinence!. use a spermicidal foam or cream as well if you are extra parnoid, i think that you are right thinking this way if your mom had these problems chances are you could too!!! way to be a smartie!!! good for you :)Www@Answer-Health@Com
