Yes lbobeck, I did go through a 'Gothic phase' much to my posh conservative parents abomination!! This picture was actually taken when I was 17, so 5 years and some change ago, I no longer wear goth make up or jewellery, the Army soon put paid to that! Much to my parents delight I'm hasten to add!!. I think that's the only thing they liked about me joining the Army!

OMG Dr Frank! we have too much in common! How did your patients react to your attire!? Were they shocked!? What about the older generation!? Did you get any disapproving looks!? So in my head I have this image of a GP, with Gothic tendency's, piercings and tattoo's not the stereotypical image of a GP one has at all!.! (and that's a good thing!)!.!.and where is the location of the tattoo they didn't see!.!.!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

I take exception to that! Both my daughter, who is older than you and Rhianna, and I were Goth for a while! Right down to the make-up and fingernails!.

I never got any overt criticism, but I am aware that not everyone approved!. There were only ever a few doctors in the West of Scotland with a pierced ear and most were hospital doctors rather than GPs!. I was once told by a drug rep who covered the whole of the West of Scotland, that I was the only GP with both an earring and a shaved head, which I still have!. I am not telling you where the last tattoo is!Www@Answer-Health@Com
