Question: Mirena users pleaseeeee!?
Mirena I got one placed in on july 17 and have bleed light to heavy red blood since then, but on thursday I stopped bleeding then friday started up again and it was heavy then today I stopped again!.!.Does anyone know whats going on and Have you ever had this happen while be on mirena!? If so what happen did you stop or did it just go on!? I keep thinking finally I'm stopping but then the next day it comes back!.!.

I have a mirena and I think its great!. But it sounds like you're not havin such a good time with it!. The mirena has hormones in it so it can take a while for yur body to get used to the new surge of hormones and settle down into some type of routine!.
I had a few days bleeding and cramp-like pain, then no periods at all, and now, a few months later, a very light monthly period that lasts about 3 days!.
It works out great for some women and not so great for others!. Unfortunately, you don't know how you will react to it until you try it!.
It's early days!. If you're not in pain and not losing loads of blood all the time, give it about 3 or 4 months to settle down!. If your cycle hasnt got into a routine by then, maybe it isnt the right contraceptive for you and you should try a different one
If you are concerned about the amount of blood you are losing and feeling tired or run down, you could be becoming slightly anaemic!. Get yourself back to the doctor and ask them about removing it!. Www@Answer-Health@Com

I absolutely hate the Mirena!. I have had it!. I had it put in September 2004, and in January 2005, I started having real bad stomach pains!. I thought it might have been food poisoning or something, so I didn't think anymore of it!. The pain kept getting worse and worse!. I went to the hospital and found out I was pregnant!. I went to my doctor right after that, and they took X-Rays to try to find the Mirena, cause I hadn't lost it!. What had happened was it had perforated my uterus, and floated up to my upper stomach area!. I had a tubal pregnancy, that was getting ready to burst wide open!. I had started bleeding internally, and had to have emergency surgery to remove part of my tube, the IUD, and for a D&C!.
I did not have my menstrual cycle, so I never knew that I was pregnant!. I thought it was normal to have not had my period!. Everyone is different, but you should talk to your doctor and see if it is normal for you!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
