Cramping after pap test??!

Question: Cramping after pap test!?!?
I had a pap test done yesterday, by a gyno (even tho i had already had one done recently by my own doctor- everything came back fine) but the gyno did one too, and ever since yesterday after the procedure, i have had constant cramping!. I find this strange because I have never had this before after having a pap done!. I called hospital tonight to ask about it, but it's really busy up there so i don't want to go up there and be waiting all night!. Anyway, the only thing she could tell me over the phone was that it's not normal to have cramping after a pap!.
Has this ever happened to anyone before!?!? And, why would this be happening!?!? Any ideas!? Www@Answer-Health@Com

It is very normal for the cervix to appear and actually be irritated from time to time!. If a pap is done during a time of irritation, it will occasionally come back with a mild abnormality!.

The cause for this periodic irritation is varied and often unclear!. The bottom line is that if you leave things alone and repeat the pap down the road, the mild abnormalities will clear up!.

Those that don't clear up require further attention!. It is not unusual to have some spotting after a pap!. This usually is not accompanied by cramping!. I would mention the cramping to your physician next time you talk to her!.!.!. or go to the ER if you have severe crampings

yes, if there was any bleeding it means they went to far up and pocked something!. the pressure of the pap could make you cramp just put your feet up and it go away!. just take a easy for a day!. let gravity have a day off!. good luck!. Www@Answer-Health@Com
