Question: Please offer me some advice!.!.!.!?
I am 20, and I broke up with my first love about 3 years ago (he cheated on me with my sisters friend!.!.!.and lied about it!.!.!.it hurt me so bad) and I thought I was over him!. I started dating another guy about a year and a half ago, and I am so happy with him and so in love!. But for some reason lately I keep thinking about my ex!. He had tried to talk to me, and tried to be friends with me but I told him absolutely not!. He's apologized to me numerous times but I just wanted to forget about him!.
I just don't know why I can't!. I haven't told anyone and I just would like some advice on what to do here!. It's killing me I can't forget him, even though I have a man who is so great to me!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

I think it's just one of those things that will lessen with time, although he will probably always hold a certain place in your heart!. (Despite his betrayal!.) Your "first love" can really haunt you for a long, long time!. There's really nothing you can do but continue to distance yourself from him!. If you try to meet up with him to "get closure" you may fall even more victim to those old feelings from the past!. I have a man who's great, too, but I sometimes think about my ex in the same way!. All I can tell you is, you might never forget him, but don't ever stop appreciating how wonderful your man is who you have now, and never let yourself think that it would be a good idea to let your cheating ex back into your life!
