I dont think my medicine is working...?!
Question: I dont think my medicine is working!.!.!.!?
I am on an anti-depressant!. The more I take them, the less I feel they are working!. I can tell when I haven't taken them, because I am a complete *********!. I tell my doctor, and he says it takes a while for them to really kick in!. Should I go see another doctor!? I have been on Lexapro 10mg for about 4 months now, and I dont really feel any different!. What do you think I should do!?Www@Answer-Health@Com

Yes, you should tell your doctor!. Some medicines don't work for all
people because of our chemical and genetic makeup!. You might
want to suggest that he put you on another anti-depressant!. Also
I have found, from personal experience, that when I take the generic
brand of my anti-depressant, it doesn't seem to help me, but the brand
name does!. I don't know why!. Take charge of your health, tell your
doctor what you want!. I don't think an anti-depressant should take 4 months to kick in! Maybe a week or two, but 4 months!? I don't think so

i am on lexapro too!.!.!. it just takes the edge off a bit for me!.!.!. but i am on 20 mg because 10 didnt do much!.!.!. 4 months is long enough to tell if its working!.!.!. tell your doc you need a higher dose or something new!. there is tons out there so dont worry!. if your doc refuses to help then for sure goto someone who understands more!. but for right now just try to get him to raise the dose!.!. still not working then raise it again and after that i would definately try a different kind!.
