No that is not true below!. Periods CAN last a month, there are a few reasons:
1!. You could be pregnant!.
2!. You may have a cyst or something wrong with your ovaries!.
3!. It could just be that there are "hormonal inbalances"!.
About 2 months ago I had my period for close to a month so I went to the doctor and she did a pregnancy test for me!. It was negative so she told me to get 2 ultra sounds done, and in the end all it was was hormonal inbalances!. I suggest you speak to your doctor ASAP!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

During the first few years you have your period, it can be very irregular!. When I began, it lasted for 3 months!. Not so nice!. After that, there was a time when I didn't get it for 4 months!. I suggest you talk to your doctor about going on birth control to have a regulated cycle, but you have to be at least 14 years old!.
