Question: I've had my period for three weeks now!.!?
Hi!.!. I just turned 17 today, and I've been on birth control pills for a year now!. My health unit lady has me on this new thing called "Fast Tracking", where I take the pill for three months straight, then I go on the fake pills!. The idea is to make me only have four periods a year!. Since before my period lasted longer than five days!. Anyways, the first month, I didn't get my period, and the second month I've started spotting, and since then it's either been spotting or bright red blood for 3 weeks now!. I'm still a virgin, so it's neither pregnancy or a miscarriage!. I just want to know if it's most likely a hormonal imbalance, and if anyone else has gone through this!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Hi and Happy Birthday! I take the pill the exact same way!. You need to contact your health unit lady and tell her!. It sounds like you may need a different strength and/or brand of the pill!. Sometimes it takes a few to get the right amount of hormones for your body!. Make sure you tell her your symptoms, though, just to rule out any problems!. Good luck!Www@Answer-Health@Com
I was on the pill seasonale for a total of 6 months!. Out of those 6 months i was spotting/bleeding for a total of 3 months!. My doctor told me that it was normal of that pill because your body is trying to get use to the steady release of hormones!. I stopped the pill after i finished the package and went to a normal 21 day 7 placebo pill and was fine after that!. I think your fine its just something that your body isn't use to!.!.!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
Hmmm if i were u id get back to the docs and have another word with ure doctor, skipping your period for 3 months is fine lots of people do it!. But spotting for 3 weeks cnt be fun, go talk to her and im sure shel help you sort everything out

This doesn't sound right at all, and I don't like the sound of this 'fast tracking thing!. Sounds a bit odd to me!. I would just go on the normal pill!. I did wonder though, how come you're on the pill if you're not sexually active!?Www@Answer-Health@Com
Spotting and break through bleeding are common on birth control!. Depending how long you been on that birth control it might just not be in you system like that it will take a while before it gets like that!. Www@Answer-Health@Com
The same B/C pill or method does not work the same for everyone!. talk to your Dr!. and a phone call may do the trick and hey can swich you to somthing else or a different strength!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

I don't know much about 'fast tracking' but I have taken various birth control tabs and had hormonal implants in the past and they sure do mess your cycle around!. I would go back to the unit!.
I'm wondering why your taking these tablets at the moment!? If you are not sexually active!. You have monthly cycles for a reason, the rise and fall of the various hormones within the cycle are part of being a woman and healthy for you both physically and mentally!.
