I don't know whats happening but a lot of hair is starting to grow down ther!

Question: I don't know whats happening but a lot of hair is starting to grow down there (ONLY GIRLS)!!?
Ok, so I just turned 13 about 2 weeks ago and I haven't gotten my period yet but my pubic hair all of a sudden started rapidly growing and I think its REALLY GROSS! I don't know if I should cut it or shave it but its getting on my nerves and girls my age who have gotten there periods have told me that they barely have any hair down there so I don't get it!!! Whats wrong with me!?!? Will it get even more gross if I cut or shave it!? What should I do!?!? Thanks, and if your gunna tell me no one's gunna be looking at it because I'm only 13 and theres no reason for me to care well then don't bother answering because I wana do it for myself not anyone else!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Answers:
You're perfectly normal, so no worries there! Everyone grows and matures differently, so that may be the reason why your friends don't have lots of hair but you do!. Don't shave down there unless you want your hand down your pants itching every ten seconds, lol!. I've been there, done that and it gets red and itchy!.!.gross!. If you absolutely can't stand the hair down there, you could talk to your mom about it and start getting bikini waxes!. =)Www@Answer-Health@Com

I started getting hair down there when I was in 4th grade (10 years old), don't worry!.

One of my friends shaved down there and it hurts I guess, I haven't because I don't have as much as her, but it just varies!.

Look out for your period, it's probably coming soon!. I can't predict that, just a heads up from your age and what you stated!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

I started getting hair "down there" when I was 11, so you're not alone!. I personally don't wanna talk about that with my friends, so I have no idea about my other friends!. But don't do anything with it, after all, you're 13, so don't worry!. It's perfectly normal!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Dont worry sweetie!.!. it's normal! If I were you, I would start waxing it as soon as you could! I know it sounds really painful, but it's worth it because if you wax it enough it will stop growing back!. I wish I had started to do that when I was younger instead of shavingWww@Answer-Health@Com

Oh GOD, do NOT shave!. It itches like a whore!. However, if it bugs you, you can always trim it with common scissors, but BE CAREFUL! XD That's painful if you cut down there!.

But, pubic hair's perfectly natural overall C:Www@Answer-Health@Com

theres no reason to be worried!. your just growing!. the same thing happend to me!. but after awhile you will get used to the hair!. and if you do shave it JUST ARUND THE BIKINI AREA!Www@Answer-Health@Com

I am a CCMA

It is called puberty and you will be starting your period soon!.!.!. You should wax it off or you should use a hair remover such as veet or nair as shaving will cause bumps and ingrown hairsWww@Answer-Health@Com

DO NOT SHAVE IT!. if u do after it will itch so bad ull regret it!. and cmon, its not like anybody would see and and its normal but if u just cant take it then trim!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Don't worry! :)

The reason your getting this:
You are simply getting closer to having your first period!. You will most likely be getting most of your pubic hair before you have your first one!. Perfectly normal!. :)

About removing it:
Well, I don't recommend shaving too much down there!. It it quite dangerous!. You can very carefully cut it if it bothers you, but you really don't HAVE to do anything to it!. It will itch now though, because it is just starting to grow in!. It won't be that bad once it's all there and your used to it!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
