you know how when a docter checks your *privates* well i feel embarresed bout goin to my pediatrician cause he a guy but my mom says that i dont need to worry bout that and wont let me see a girl doc

Yeah, I can only imagine how you must feel getting checked like that by a male doctor!. I have a female doctor and I still find it really weird! Try talking to your doctor to see if you can get a female doctor, or a nurse to do the physical!. They should be happy to do so if it'll make you more comfortable!. Www@Answer-Health@Com
Tell her you would feel more comfortable going to a gynecologist!. This is a doctor that sees those parts all day!. There should be a nurse in the room!. However, if your mom is unrelenting, you can always tell your doctor you do not want the exam and would rather have a referral to a gynecologist!. Mom can't say anything about that!.

Why is your pediatrician giving you a pelvic exam anyway!? That is a gynecologists job!. Maybe you can talk with your mom about the situation and come to a compromise!. Let her know how uncomfortable it is for you!. It's part of life, but it doesn't have to cause anxiety!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
i actually felt the same way when i went!. I told my doctor i felt wierd about a guy doing it and a nurse stayed in there with me!. (some states require it due to age)

ooh i see the problem!. honestly, i would like refuse to go!. like seriously!. its ttly normal that u dont want him to look!. reallly, like when ur mom says GOTTA GO TO THE DOCTORS!. refuse to let them look without it being a girl!. they should respect ur privacyWww@Answer-Health@Com
I honestly can understand how uncomfortable you must be!. You should really be going to Gynecologist, anyway!. I would request a female and if one is not availiable, then at least have a nurse come in with you!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
