Question: Will birth control pills work if you crush them and take them in apple sauce!?
I can't swallow pills and I was wondering if and when I get in a relationship, will that method work (in my question)!? I heard the patch was removed from the market, the ring doesn't work, the shot makes you gain weight, and I don't want an IUD!. What are my options!?Www@Answer-Health@Com

I would hesitate to crush them and put in food!. There may be a protective coating on them to delay dissolving, so there could be a risk of them being inactive if exposed to gastric juices!. I'll bet you can swallow a pill intact if you take with a small amount of food, ice cream or even apple sauce!. Practice!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
I checked ortho tri cyclen in a nurse drug guide and it doesn't state anything about not being able to crush it (which generally means it would be acceptable to crush)!. However, before trying this, I would definitely ask your pharmacist!. They are the experts about the particulars of drugs :)Www@Answer-Health@Com
