Question: Going to be on the pill and a little scared!?
I'm worried that taking the pill (Yaz) will make me gain weight!. I'm pretty skinny (5'1" 100 pounds) but since i'm so short gaining a few pounds will really show on my body compared to someone who is tall!. Does it really make you gain!? Thanks!

You won't gain weight!. Majority of people don't lose a single pound when going off the pill!. If you gain weight while on the pill, that is usually b/c you are eating more than you used to!. For some people, the pill can increase appetite!. Just don't get carried away eating everything!. I have been on the pill for years as have many people I know and lost and gained b/c of food I ate and activity level, not the pill!. People often confuse regular weight gain due to over eating or inactivity on the pill b/c it is easier!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
I took the pill for about 6 months and I don't recall gaining any weight!. But be sure to carefully monitor your emotions!. I had to come off mine (ortho tri low) because I became a nervous wreck crying and having anxiety attacks all the time!. After I come off I was fine!. I've had some friends that this happened to as well!. Others seem to be uneffected by the pill though!. My sisters and mom did fine on it!. Maybe you'll be one of the lucky ones! ;) Best wishes!
But on the good side it's very convenient knowing when you're going to start!. And it was the most pain-free I have ever been with periods!. I didn't hardly have cramps or anything!. My boobs didn't get sore either!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

I have been on Yaz for over 2 years and have not gained weight!. Believe it or not I have actually lost weight from being on this pill!. I used to be on Loestrin 24 but switched to Yaz!. I am so happy I did!Www@Answer-Health@Com
I've tried 4 different birth control pills and Yaz was the only one that I didn't gain weight on!. I would still be taking it if I didn't get such bad migraines :( Www@Answer-Health@Com
