No they dont hurt!.
pretty much what happens is you spread your legs, they insert a duck like bill looking plastic thing that will open your vagina up so the doctor can see inside your vagina and then they stick this swab in there that looks like a little toothbrush and brush around to collect tissue samples from your vagina and then it is done!. about I say not even 5 min!.
Then your doctor will stick two to one fingers inside you to feel your ovaries and make sure they are okay and then maybe to a breast exam depending on your age and your then all done!
just breath in and out slowly and stare at the wall and think of other things, if you want you can tell your doctor your nervouse and the whole time he or she will talk to you and it gets your mind off it as your answering the questions!. Dont worry you will do fine! and they also put lube on the instrument they are using so no forcing!Www@Answer-Health@Com

It doesn't necessarily hurt, but you do feel some pressure and a bit uncomfortable during it!. They have done this many times, and they know the best way to do it, so it won't hurt you!. They can last anywhere from 2 to 5 min!. The more relaxed you are the quicker it will be over!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
yeah, your first time they do hurt!. When I got mine done I almost fainted, but I don't like hearing about anything inside me!. they last about 10 minutes the most!. they just use a clamp to go inside your vagina and take a long q tip and swab your inside!. Not really!. They last usually less than 4 minutes!. You'll feel a little pinch as they do it and feel a little uncomfortable because of the position your in but other than that you will be fine!. Just close your eyes and say to yourself EVERY woman has to do this!.!. That'll help you through it some!.

the key to getting a papsmear is to try to relax!.!.!.if youre tense you will feel more discomfort than normal!.!.its not too bad!.!.!.you will feel pressure and thats about it!.!.
