I have this problem everytime I get my period!.!.!. and I too have to wash EVERYTHING! Sheets, PJ's, me, and scrub the mattress too!.!.!.so i know how you feel!.!.!. What I have noticed is that if I sleep on my side with a pillow between my legs, this helps!. If you sleep on your back, it will leak down the back of your bum and leak that way, and if you lay on your tummy, it will leak out of the front of the pad!. So try to sleep on your side with wearing snug panties and snug fitting pants to make sure the pad stays against you snuggly!. Also, try to keep from moving, flip flopping etc!. I know it sounds impossible, but if you tist and move, you have to use your lower stomach muscles which in turn push out more blood -a lot ot one time!.!.!.its like it gushes out!. Also, wear a tampon WITH a pad!. The tampon will allow you to soak that up first and then your pad will catch what your tampon doesnt!.!.!. allowing you to not fill up your pad by the time you wake up!.!.!.also it will help prevent the gushing you get when you move, twist and turn!. You can also buy Always Pads that are one step above "overnight pads" I think it goes light, heavy, overnight, and the one more past overnight!. Look on the side of the Always Pad oackage and you will see what Im talking about!. They are longer and cover more area to help prevent leakage!. Also, set your alarm for like every 3 or 4 hours to check you pad to make sure its not too full!. This si all a pain to do, but I have never heard ANY comment from ANYONE saying being on your period isnt a pain!.!.!. GOOD LUCK! I hate my uterus too!.!.!.lol!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

I don't have this problem, thank God! But that depends on the amount of blood you discharge, if is a big amount that's one of the reasons you have this problem!.
So, I recommend you using a special pads (there are exclusively for using at night when you sleep and they're huge), beside you don't have to sleep either with your face up nor down, you should sleep with your body aside (to the left or right) and try to be carefully with your underwear, it's better use tight clothes so you don't have to worry the fluid scape!. And for additional care, use a towel or some old clothing under your sheet during these days, in case that pass your clothes and protect your bed too!. Good luck ;)Www@Answer-Health@Com

I understand completely where your coming from and I know how irritating it is!. I use overnight pads with side guards and as crazy as it may sound I use 2 of them at the same time!. Honestly there's really no position that can stop you from leaking because it's flowing while you sleep and the best advice to give is get an old towel, double it up and place it underneath your lower body!. I bleed extremely heavy and use this method and it works for me!. Also when you are doubling your pads make sure you place one of them farther down the back than normal!. This helps somewhat to catch the leak!. Now just to let you know the heaviest flow is when you wake up so make sure to double up your padding and get the ones with side guards!. I use Always with wings for heavy!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

The best position to sleep in during your period to prevent leakage is the fetal position!. Never lie flat on your back or stomach!. I'm only 18, but this position has worked for me over the past few years, and even though it may not be the most comfortable, it is the most effective!. I see that some people have been telling you to use a tampon or more than one pad!. NEVER WEAR A TAMPON OVERNIGHT!! I am no doctor, but this could definitely cause TSS, and I have had signs of TSS before!. Wearing more than one pad is really not necessary, but a higher absorbency or overnight pad would be smart!. Putting extra padding under you, such as a cloth or towel, to prevent staining your sheets and bedspreads would also help!. I hope it works for you!Www@Answer-Health@Com

Get the Always night pads and sleep on your side!. I find that if I sleep on my back or front it gets everywhere but on my side its absolutely fine!Www@Answer-Health@Com

It sounds like you have quite heavy bleeding!. I used to bleed very heavily before I was on the pill but now that I am on it my period is much lighter and I don't bleed much at night anymoreWww@Answer-Health@Com

It may just be the pad, always are very good!. Try to get those with extra absorbency in them!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
