http://www!.breasthealthonline!.org has an excellent forum with people who have gone through it!.

However, here is a list of my supplies for after my reduction (38J to 38C Feb 2006):

Are you staying overnight in the hospital!?

Bring a book to read or a crossword puzzle for when you are awake and not knocked out!.

Front button shirt (not a pullover) since you should limit arm movement!.

Front closure bra (that website has some good front closing bras that I've bought and loved) in the band size you are now and a band size larger to accommodate for swelling post op!.

Daily cleansing pads, depending on when your PS will allow you to shower!.

Slip on shoes so you don't have to worry about tying them upon release from the hospital!.

Pillow for the ride home to cushion your newly reduced breasts from any jarring of the vehicle (place between you and seatbelt)!.

Barf bag, just in case you have the urge to purge on the way home (I did not need this thankfully!)!.

Bandages and tape to place over your incisions until they are fully closed and not leaking!. The hospital gave me a few, but not enough!. Also, if you are allergic to the tape like I was, one of those BHO bras (or any front closure bra) helps keep them in place!. I recommend Telfa pads as they are non stick (and BHO recommends them as well)!.

Also, go to Amazon and order up some Arnica Montana pills!. You start taking them a week before surgery and take them until they are all!. It helps with swelling and bruising!.

Take some before pictures, front, side, and each breast!. After surgery, same thing!. I did this to help me compare and, when I felt like I was still big or not healing, I'd go and compare those pictures to see how I was actually healing!.

That is all I can think of right now, I'll add more as I remember!.

Contact me for any questions, when are you getting it done and who is your PS!?

you probably wont need new bras or stuff yet until your breasts are fully recovered, because they will be really tender and sore!. but ull probably need new bandages to cover the wounds, but obviously the hospital will supply them hun, but ithink u probably just need to prepare ur self mostly, there isnt really anything to take in hospital, except like the usual, - toothbrush, toothpaste!.!. etc lol!.

good luck!! Www@Answer-Health@Com
