Girls only, PLEASE. - Period question?!

Question: Girls only, PLEASE!. - Period question!?
OK, it has been a year and a couple of months (2-4) since I've started having clear / white discharge in my underwear!. I know that this is totally normal!. Also my breasts have started to develop since the past 3-5 months, maybe half a year!.

Once I had a few dots of brown in my underwear, but only once; then a couple of times I had a yellowy discharge!. One time it was yellow and smelly, but it was OK after a few days!. I don't get the weird brown thing anymore, I only had it once!. But I haven't started my period yet!.

I'm turning 12 in December, and my mom had her period when she was thirteen!. My mom didn't have cramps!. My 2 sisters started when they were 11 and one of them had cramps!. My mom didn't and neither did one of my sisters [have cramps] but lately I've been having cramps, usually at night!. I heard that periods come a year or two after whitish discharge starts!?

I was wondering if these are 'signs' of my period coming!? I'm not sure!. If these are, is there a sort of estimated time!?

And um, the light pink stains didn't occur much, like wide spaces apart but these days it's started to come every week =/Www@Answer-Health@Com

You've probably heard this before, and you'll hear it again, but the only answer to this question is that it's different for everyone!. I started at 11!. I had cramps one day, and the next day, wham! period!. No warning at all!. I've heard other people say it went differently!. As far as I know, breast development is kind of on its own schedule, and not related!. But I can tell you that everything you describe sounds normal, and you probably don't need to be concerned!. My boobs were sore for years - I couldn't lay on my stomach comfortably until I was 15 - but it does go away eventually!. Also, they sometimes hurt when you run!.!.!. just a sidenote!. If you are worried at all that something might be wrong, the person to talk to would be your mom, or else your doctor!. Otherwise, you'll probably just have to wait and see!. It sounds like it's probably just around the corner, though!. Www@Answer-Health@Com

Some things to look out for are random bouts of irrationality that seem strange when you think back on them!. Cramps and bloating are also signs!. I'd say be on the safe side and carry a pad with you at all times, just in case!.

As to the hair, you'll get used to it!. It's not a big deal at all!.

I'm sure you've heard this a thousand times over, but it's all just part of growing up!. Some people get a tight feeling between their hips before they start (I have several cousins and such), so that may also be a sign!. And one most people won't tell you about, hair in strange places!. I don't just mean armpit and pubic hair, but other places that you probably wouldn't expect!. I started growing hair on my toes just before I started!. A cousin started growing hair on her hips, and a friend on her shoulders!.

And you type very well for an eleven year old!. I'm quite impressed!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

All of these are signs that you will be getting your period!. And don't base you having cramps on what your mom or sister have had!. Every woman is different!. You will feel more than just the sore boobs before you start your period!. Some get real tired others get headaches as well as sore breasts and cramps!. You'll get your period when your body is ready for it!. Your mind might not be ready for it all!.!.Ha Ha but your body will tell you when the time is right!.
