From personal experience, use Tampon Pearl!. The applicator is a smooth plastic and easier than the cardboard to slide it up there!.

First use a regular though before going to a super!. You can buy these in multi-packs!. Keep both pads and tampons handy so you can make a decision after trying both!. Tampons are far better comfortable, and really though for heavy flow, pads are usually better!. They tend to absorb more!. I've had a heavy one once or twice to where the tampon was filled in less than a few hours!.

TSS isn't as common as it use to be!. I've slept in tampons for 10 years and haven't had any problems!. Just as long as you change them a few times a day and keep good hygeine, you will be fine!.

Good luck!Www@Answer-Health@Com

You probably werent getting it in the right place!. Just find a comfortable possion where you are relaxed!. find the right hole down there and then push up toward your lower back!. You shouldnt feel it if it is in, if you can, then take it out and try again!.

Alternate from pads to tampons, you will get used to tampons soon enough!.

If you are worried about TSS, dont leave the tampon in for more than 5 hours, thats what i do, i know you can leave it in for 8, but still i am too worried i will get TSS, so i take it out after 5ish!. The chances of you are getting it are low though!. But also the alternating is another good thing to do to avoid TSS!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Virginity has nothing to do with using tampons!. My periods started when I was 12!. I started using tampons at 13!. I lost my virginity at 17!.

You were probably just nervous!. It's rare to get it right the first time!. I know I didn't!. You should try again!. Once you get the hang of it, you won't be sorry!.

Also, TSS is extremely rare these days, but the tampons companies are still required to print the warnings!. You probably have a greater chance of getting struck by lightning than you do of catching TSS!. Just remember to change the tampons regularly!.

Just relax and take your time!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Uhh!.!.
Ashlee K!.!.!.
You're totally wrong!.
Keep trying with tampons!.!.
it will take a little while to get used to it!.!.
But it is totally worth it!
Pads feel like diapers!.!.
And with a tampon you pretty much forget you are having your period!.
I pretty much don't use pads anymore!.

Toxic Shock Syndrome is a VERY rare condition!.
If you are responsible and change your tampon regularly (everyone 4-8 hours!.!.depending on your flow, and day of period)!.
So please don't worry about that!
Don't let it stop you from using the best thing ever intvented!. :)

And that brand you use should be fine if you are just starting out!.
As you get used to them!.!.try out different brands and different absorbencies!.

Hope I helped!. :)

Try relaxing when u put it in!. When u r relaxed the muscles in ur vagina r relaxed!.
Get in a comfortable positition - maybe standing, squatting or with ur leg up on something!. Relax and push it up towards ur lower back slowly!. Start with small (light) ones to get used to it!.
In the packet it says u can put lube or something like that on it to help it slide in more easily, do that when u don't have ur period tho!.

Just be patient - it took me a while to start using them!.

U can get ones with 'silk ease covers' or similar - i use them and they are good!.

I use night pads at night so i don't have to worry about TSS, they are extra long to keep u covered/protected!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Thats not true about the virgin thing, you can be a virgin and use tampons!. Just make sure you are totally realxed and and comftable!. when i first started using them i was a virgin and i would squat on the ground and put it in then, it just made it easier!. Just follow the directions!. You'll get the hang of it after a while!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

tampons are NOT just for girls that are sexually active!
as for your question, i personally use playtex gentle glide and haven't had any problems, even when i have a heavier flow!. it shouldn't cause any discomfort, and tampons in general are better because it's stopping your flow from well!.!. flowing wherever it chooses!. Www@Answer-Health@Com

You CAN use tampons even if you are a virgin!. Everyone has trouble inserting tampons the first time!. I had heavy flow before I started taking the pill and I hated wearing pads cos of the mess!. Once you get used to using tampons they are so much better, especially for heavy flowWww@Answer-Health@Com

Stick to pads until you're comfortable using something else!. I strongly recommend the Diva cup, but if you have trouble getting a tampon in, just wait!. Try it every now and again, like once or twice a cycle, but you'll be ready when you're ready and not a moment before!. :)Www@Answer-Health@Com

okay the first answer is stupid!. Tampons are not for non-virgins!. Virgins and non-virgins can easily wear them!. Try Tampax Pearl, that's what I started out with and still use and that was when I was a virgin when I first started wearing them!.
Just relax and try them out!. It's all trial and error haha!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

ashlee is wrong, i am thirteen and i use tampons im a virgin!.

try useing the tampax lites !. also, fallow the instructions!. maybe you put it in wrong!?Www@Answer-Health@Com

I was 12 when I started having a period and I was a virgin and using tampons!. You have to have the right size!. Maybe try to slender they are smaller than a regularWww@Answer-Health@Com
