Answers:
You HAVE to wear a tampon!. Let me tell you a story from my own experience!.

Just after I started getting my period I was afraid to try to use a tampon!. I wanted to go to a pool party so I dressed in jeans and wore a pad!. I just told my friends that I didn't really want to swim (they thought I was weird)!. So about half way through the party I got thrown in the pool!. I got soaked as did the pad!. In fact it weighed about 10 pounds and poured water when I got out!. I was really embarrassed!. The next day I decided I was ready to start using a tampon and learned how to do it by reading the directions on the package!.

How do you ask your mom to buy some for you!? Say, Mom I want to go swimming and don't want to wear a pad!. Will you please buy me some tampons!? Get the kind with the plastic casing, the are easier to use!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

you HAVE to wear a tampon to go swimming!. A pad will just absorb water from the pool as soon as you get in! People think that being in water during your period it temporarly stops the blood from coming out!. Not necessarily!. I've bled in water!.!.!.so I would know, plus your flow is heavy!. Ask your big sister if its less awkward to ask!. Say "*insert sisters name here*/mom!.!.!. i have my period so i need a tampon to wear in the pool!.!.!.can i have one/can we go buy some!?" If worst comes to worst, they wont let you wear a tampon since your family doesnt wear them and you wont be able to go in the pool since your flow is heavy!. You can wear a pad with your bathing suit, as long as you don't go in the water!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

no,
you can't wear a pad,
+& as some people might try to say,
you do bleed in water!.
but i started my period over two years ago,
+& i'm 13
(will be 14 in 10 days)
i wore tampons after 6 months!.
you have to have a tampon,
they make slim tampons,
+& since your so little,
make sure you use the plastic applicators,
it won't feel as bad!.

as far as asking,
what i would do is say:
gosh,
this sucks i can't go swimming,
they'll say:
why not!?
you:
because i'm on my period,
do you think you could buy me
some of those really small tampons,
i really want to go swimming!.

i hope i helped!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

dont wear pads in the water! lol they will slip off and fall into the pool!. also all the blood will be dissolved in the pool!. personally, i think your too young to wear tampons, but if you do wear one ask your mom or sister!. but you said that you and your family dont wear them!. just tell them that you want to swim and tell them to help you put on a tamponWww@Answer-Health@Com

hmm!. Well when your in the water there is g great amount of presure making it impossible to bleed in the water!. So you can wear a panty linner and as soon as u get out of the pool wrap a town around u and go to the bathroom and change!. But I also would suggest trying tampons maby!. Just say i really want to go swimming but im on my period!. Hope i helped!. Good luck!.xoxoWww@Answer-Health@Com

Hun!.!.no!.The pad will expand and it would not be a pretty sight!.Come on now use your noggin!

Just come out and tell your mom that you really want to go swimming but you are afraid that you will be on your period so you want to try a tampon!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
