I'm on my first period and my bleeding is really heavy, so I decided to use tampons!. I've been bleeding for about 2 days, and the tampon hasn't soaked up all the way yet, so it's uncomfortable to try to remove it, how long does it take to soak up!?Www@Answer-Health@Com

you should try a tampon of lower absorbency!. that way it will be easier to remove you just have to change it more often!. also practice inserting it correctly!. if you don't insert it right it can be uncomfortable and difficult to remove!. relax and insert the tampon at about a 45 degree angle until it feels comfortable!. once its in if you can feel it that pretty much means that its not in right!. so try again!. i'm currently on my period, definitely not my first, but i've had mine since i was twelve, and i'm now fourteen, and all i know is that i use tampons sometimes, and i use the super ones, i didn't use to, but i accidently bought the wrong box, and so yesterday, i was taking one out after having it in for only 3 hours, and it was full of blood, but it KILLED to take out, it was sooo big, so i'm guessing, maybe you're using the super ones, while you should be using regular, or maybe you should atleast leave it in for 7-8 hours before removing, because then it would hurt less :)

I hope it hasn't been the same tampon for the whole 2 days!. Over 8 hours use of the same tampon you can get toxic shock syndrome because of the blood being 'there' for so long and getting infected!. I would definitely suggest going back to pads for now until your more used to having your period!.

If your tampon hasn't soaked up all the way yet, you probably need a lower absorbency!. Make sure your taking out your tampon at the same angle it came in!. It hurts (partially) because the tampon isn't fully absorbed and because tampons naturally dry you out!. Consider cloth pads or menstrual cups!. They are much healthier for you and the enviornment!.

honestly i've never used a tampon!.!. i've always used a sanitary pad since i was 14 yrs old !.and always mark it down on your calendar when your period starts & stops i do!.!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

you need to change your tampon every 8 hours at least so you don't get TSS!.!.!.!. Www@Answer-Health@Com
