Question: Just got thebc pill for first time!?
so i went to my gyno and she prescribed me to pills first time which im suppose to start right when i get my next period! what do i need to know b4 i start!? any side affects ill be seeing in next few months!? any changes!?Www@Answer-Health@Com

well it depends on what bc pill you are taking!.
it will say any side affects on the sheet that comes inside you packet!.
some may be:
nausea
head aches
mood swings
i suggest taking it after you eat a meal or before you go to bed this will reduce the chance that you will feel sick after taking it!.
it may help with pimples!.it did for me and many other people say it does as well!.
you need to keep track of your moods cuz the first pill i started made me flip out on people and i didn't even realize i was flipping out until i was done!. then i would feel sooo horrible about it that i'd cry!.
so if you notice you are getting upset or angry easier you should find a new bc pill!.
side effects may last for the first 3 months so if they aren't super bad then you should try to wait it out and after 3 months if you still feel the same way then call your doctor and switch pills but if you feel that the side effects are inturupting your life then you should call your doctor immediately so they can figure out what pill will work for you!.
don't be afraid to ask your doctor andy questions as wel!.
oh and since you said you will be a first day of your period start then you need to know that you will have you period at that time and you will also get your period after you start you last week of pills!. this is because the hormones in the active pills make it so you don't have your period so during the last week of the package which would be inactive pills the hormones leave you body and once they are fully gone you get your period!.so expect it a few days after you are into you last week of the package!.
i know you would think but wait wouldn't come the day i start my know pill package and continue to come that day but no believe me it will come before you start your new package garunteed!.
i know its confusing and believe me i was confused too but i can tell you from experience it works out how it is supposed to!.
so basically for the first month on the pills you will have 2 periods!.
one that you get before you start the pill and one the last week of the package!. then from that point on you will always get it durning the last week of the package!.

There isn't much to know just remember to take them every day and as close to the same time as possible!. Also they can cause weight gain so you may want to watch for that!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
