Question: I want to start shaving but scared to ask my mom!?
I want to start shaving my legs because they are really hairy and I am in seventh grade!. School starts in two days and I don't want to go back with hairy legs but I am really scared to ask my mom!. What should I do!?Www@Answer-Health@Com

Haha I was the same way but i just did it then i broke my arm one day and had to go into operation, and my mom was rubbing my leg because i was scared and shes like DID YOU SHAVE YOUR LEGS!? and i was like yea and she was like awww all grown up!.But if your really scared to just tell her then when your at the store with her and your in isle with that rasorz pick one and drop it in the cart and shell be like whatsthat for and youll be like to shave my legs!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
When I was in 6th grade I had really hairy legs and they were dark too because I have really really dark brown hair!. Anyways my mom had to take me to the foot doctor and I had some capris on and I was really embarrassed because the foot doctor was going to see me extremely hair legs!. So I said something like this," This is really embarrassing because my legs are really hairy and gross and I don't want the doctor to see it!." and my mom said," Well I guess you can start shaving your legs if you want to, but it really isn't that bad!." So I asked her if we could go to Target or something so I got a razor and shaving gel ect!. and she showed me how to do it and everything!. So she was completely fine with it, but I do think she was a little hesitant about it though!.
So for you, you could just casually say to your mom like, " Hey mom, my legs are really hairy and I don't like it what should I do!." or "Hey mom I noticed some girls at school don't have really hairy legs like mine, is there something I can do!?" or somthig like that!. Then maybe she will say like well you can start shaving your legs if you want to or something!. Also another idea is to volunteer to go shopping with your mom if she says she is going to like Target or Walmart!. Once you get to the hygeine isle with all the soap and deodrant and razors mention to her that you would like to start shaving because a lot of girls at school do it and you are embarrassed by your hairy legs or something!. Just to make it a spurr of the moment kind of thing!. Good luck, I'm sure however you tell your mom she will be more than happy to let you!. Personally, I wouldn't ask!. I would just do it!. She probably won't notice and if she does just say that you didn't think it was a big deal!.

Why would you be scared to ask her!? If she says no ways to shaving it's only cos the hairs grow back even more and she'd be right so then just wax or epilate!. Problem solved!. I epilate and each time less and less hairs grow back, plus they grow slower than from shaving and you don't really get that "cactus" feeling!.

Wow I started shaving my legs before I went into 5th grade!. Anyway, just explain to your mom that you want to shave your legs!. Tell her that you promise to make sure you shave them everytime it is necessary!. I am sure she will understand and judging by your age you should be more than ready!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

another passive idea is to just wait untill u and ur mom are just casually watching tv or something and be like " agh, my legs are really hairy" and she'll probably say "oh well why don't u shave them"

i had the same problem!. my mom wasnt aware of how i felt!. if you go to your mother and tell her how you feel perhaps she will understand and show you what to do and everything!. but remember while mothers know almost everything they cant guess everything and you have to clue them in sometimes!. just be frank and tell her!. she wont be mad about something like that!. you're growing up its only natural and to be expected!. good luck! :)Www@Answer-Health@Com
