Very confused about period after miscarriage?!

Question: Very confused about period after miscarriage!?
I had a D&C on 29th July after a missed miscarriage!. So that was nearly 5 weeks ago!.
For the last 2 days I have been getting some spotting but it's a very small amount, only enough for a panty liner and only for a few hours each day!. Some brown blood and some red!.

I'm really confused about whether this is actually my period or not!. I was expecting this period to be very heavy!.

Should I count this bleeding as my period and the start of a new cycle!? Is it normal to have such light bleeding!? A normal period for me would not be light like this!.

I will ask my doctor about this but I would like some opinions until I can get an appointment!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Answers:
i'm so sorry for your loss!.
but, yes it is your period!. i had a D&C three years ago and was informed by my doctor that my next couple of periods should be very very light because when they do a D&C they take almost all of the lining in the womb and it takes some time to build up again!. so it's quite normal!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

It could be a sort of pre-period, you know!? Just made up from blood from your wombs lining, but not like the unfertilized egg as well!. I guess if your period is due and it doesnt start shortly I would go to the Doctor, although because of you recently having a miscarriage surely your Doctor would understand you wanting to get this checked out as soon as possible!. I hope everything is okay!. Take care!. x Www@Answer-Health@Com

It's totally normal for your cycle to be a little messed up after having a miscarriage!. it's very hard on your body!. You should be back to normal within a couple months!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
