Sounds like you're sensitive to some component of the pad, either the lining or the absorbent fiber underneath!. Most pads nowadays use rayon or polyester fiber!.

If you decide to try tampons, try to find unscented pure cotton ones!. You can't even feel a tampon if it's the right size and shape for you, but they can hurt if the shape is wrong!. For me, the ones that "bloom" into a sort of cup shape are more comfortable than the cylindrical ones, and although they're less eco-friendly, I've found the plastic applicators more comfortable than the cardboard ones!.

When you're learning to put a tampon in, it helps to lie down on your back on your bed!. It also helps to apply a little unscented lotion (like baby lotion) or glycerin to the vaginal opening or the tip of the tampon applicator, just to lubricate it a bit and make it go in smoothly!.

Or you can try washable cloth pads!. Those are getting more popular because they're considered more eco-friendly!. (It's a trade-off -- they don't wind up in the landfill, but they do have to be washed with water and soap or detergent!.)

There are lots of brands of reusable pads!. Glad Rags, Luna Pads, Many Moons, Pandora Pads all came up in a Google search!. Or you can make your own, as women used to do for centuries!. If you try reusable pads, wash them in an unscented, hypoallergenic detergent or natural soap, and give them an extra rinse with vinegar to remove any detergent or soap residue that might cause you to itch!. If you get a yeast infection, you'll need to sanitize the pads with a really hot water wash, alcohol or even Lysol (rinse the heck out of them afterwards!!! You do not want that stuff on your most sensitive skin!)!.

Hope this helps!

Well, you can try Always ultra thins!. They have that mesh cover on top of the pad and that creates a barrier between your skin and the damp pad!.

It could also be the cotton used, if you're near a health store or an organic store, they sale pads made from organic, chemically free cotton!.

You can also buy pads made out of fabric!. You do have to wash them!. There's also the divacup, but it's like a tampon in the sense that you have to insert it into your vagina!.

I didn't start using tampons until I was an adult because of the discomfort!. Being scared does make you tense up which can cause discomfort!. You may want to try some of them more slender tampons targeted to athletes and teens!. I also have had good results with the brands that use plastic applications because they're smoother then some of the cardboard brands!. Www@Answer-Health@Com

My advice to you is to try different brands of pads!. If you're using ones with deodorant that might be the irritant as well as using a regular pad!. Try using ultra-thins!. I used normal ones and got a chafing rash type thing, but I use ultra-thins now and I haven't had the rash since!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Yeah!.!.!. I stay away from tampons!. And no, I thankfully don't get any rashes!. It could be the kind of pads you buy!.!.!. or something is wrong with you!. Try a better stronger kind!.!.!. different brands!. See what feels better!. Www@Answer-Health@Com
