Question: Just started my period help!!!!?
Hey :) my names Jess and I'm 14 and I've literally just started my period and I havn't got a clue what to do!! I'm home alone and there are no sanitry towells in the house or tampons :( and it's quite heavy :(
It's my dad's birthday so when he gets home from work we are all going out to a resteraunt!. I don't know what to do i just keep on wiping it with tissue!. what am i going to do at the resteraunt!?!?! :( he's home soon and i can't get hold of mymum on the phone and theres NO WAY i'm telling my dad!. Do you have a mom!? or sister that you trust!. phone a cousin or a friend who has had theirs or get some money and pop out to a corner shop and buy one!.

Awww congratulations!. Lucky you started like this anyway, i started in a hospital and doctors kept looking at me!. then i only found out like 6 hours later when i got home!. :)

Ok, you will need to get some sanitary towels before you go out tonight, if you dont you might have a very embarssing situation on your hands and i would not recommend tampons for a couple months anyway!. I'd tell your dad and ask him to get you some, you'd be very suprised how he'll react, remember your mum goes through it very month and he knows all about it, its nothing to be embarassed about!. In the meantime for the pain take some aspirin and a hot water bottle will help ease the pain!. Good luck hon you'll be fine!. Www@Answer-Health@Com
Here's an idea put on two pairs of knickers and another pair in your bag just in case, then ask your dad if before you go to a restaurant if you can go to a shop to get some tampons or whatever and when you get to da restaurant, do what you gotta do then change knickers ye!. call a friend! They will help you! I had to help one of my friends in a problem like this!. Just call 'em up!. They can get a ride or walk over or something and help you out! Maybe there mom would even take THEM to the store and buy a package of pads for you or something!. Otherwise, wad up some toilet paper and but it in your undies!.
But if none of that works, you should tell your dad! He'll love this new little birthday present! :)

y dont u just put sume tissue in ur undies and then when yah get home from the resturant!.!.u can tell sumeone or u can tell ur dad to drive u there on the way to the resturant!.!.!.yah can like stop at a coner store or a gas station and u can change in the restroom there

If so go buy some sanitary towels!.
Before you go out fold up loads of loo roll and put in your knickers or kitchen towel as that's more absorbent, or and old but clean flannel that you can just throw away afterwards!.

poor girl, i remember that!. you really need to take some Advil for the cramps and you need to get some tampons right away!. they are easy to use and it sounds like you need the "super" kind!. you can't go out to dinner without a pad or tampon!. The tissue idea will not work!.!.wod up a bunch of toilet paper until you can get to a store!. Does your dad have any daughters besides you!? even if he doesn't, give him more credit than that!.!.!.you need help, ask your friend or neighbor for a spare one, girls of any age will help, we have all been there!. Well since you don't have any form of protection like pads or tampons you can make your own pad out of toilet paper!. Just fold up about 20 sheets into a square and put it between your legs right below your vagina so that it catches the blood!. You will have to keep checking it about every thirty minutes at least so that it doesn't leak because it's just toilet paper!. Just change it often until you can get something!. If there is another young woman at the restaurant ask her for a pad or tampon!. Take some advil or tylenol for the pain!. A couple of pills should do!. If worse comes to worse just keep changing the toilet paper and wipe really well until you can get something else!. Sometimes you just have to do what you have to do!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
