Question: Itchy sore vagina right before periods due, why!?
my periods due around tomorrow and i have a really itchy sore vagina!. I've never had this before!. Havn't done anything out of the ordinary this month, i havn't had sex in about 2 weeks,do i have thrush!? If so, why!? My discharge is a little unusual, but not thick and smelly (sorry for the details) Ive been on antibiotics for about 4 days now for the flu as well!. Thanks in advanced

sometimes when you take antibiotics it can cause a yeast infection!.!.!.which comes with a itch!. and It's could also be vaginaits cause you to itch as well!. There is a cream that you could go to your local pharmacy and get !.!.it's over the counter and the wil have to order it for you!. It's called calmoseptine!. Good Luck!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
Very likely you have thrush from the antibiotics!. But in addition to this, a lot of women who are prone to getting thrush often get it in lead up days to their period, it seems to be because during this time the acidity levels or the amount of discharge in the vagina changes, providing a change in the environment allowing thrush to flourish!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
Taking antibiotics can cause thrush as they kill all the bacteria in the body even the good bacteria which makes for the right environment for yeast to flourish!. Some women are also more prone to yeast infections than others and find they suffer from thrush before and at the end of their period!. You need to get a pessary and anti fungal cream or an oral anti fungal like fluconazole and that will clear it up!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
