Don't be scared!. Everyone is different!. The first time I got mine, I had no symptoms at all, I just started bleeding, but felt no pain!. Now, I get a headache the day or so before that stays and won't go away, and I get bloated and get cramps!.
Some people have no symptoms, so maybe you will be a lucky one!
If you get cramps or headaches use Motrin!. You can also try a heating pad on your abdomen if the cramps are really bad!.
I would start out just using pads for a while until you are used to having your period and willing to try out tampons!. I personally never used tampons, I'm always nervous they will leak or something, so I stick to pads, they are not uncomfortable once you get used to them, I forget it is there!Www@Answer-Health@Com
