Ovulation pain - any advice?!

Question: Ovulation pain - any advice!?
Usually I get a little amount of pain mid-cycle, and it only lasts for a day!. But this month the pain has been so bad that I have had to take painkillers, and it has been going on for four days! It feels as if my tubes have had a noxious liquid poured into them!. Any ideas!?
(and if anyone says 'Just put up with it, you'll have children soon', don't bother answering please!. )Www@Answer-Health@Com

I have suffered with this pain all my life and it's worse than any period pain!. I had several investigations and the conclusion was down to a bad appendix op that left severe adhesions!. One medical answer was "have a baby!!" - I always knew I didn't want kids so that wasn't an option for me so I've had to put up with the pain!. Another option was to have the adhesions tidied up but there was no guarantee that it would be better, could be worse! Sometimes, I have mild flu-like symptoms for a couple of days and the pain reaches an agonising climax and then subsides!. I was more worried when I didn't know what was causing the pain but once I knew what it was I lived with it!. Oh the pleasures of being a woman - there's always something!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Poor you! I do sympathise!

This probably sounds slightly strange, but my usual "slight discomfort", changed into something alot more painful just randomly one day and has been the same ever since!. I have since worked out that its alot worse depending on what I've eaten!. For example, spinach gives me the most awful wind known to man and if that happens to coincide with ovulation, it makes the pain twice as bad!.

There is a silver lining to all this though if you plan to have a family in the future!.!.!.!. ovulation pain makes it pretty easy to get pregnant when you want to!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Oh dear, I know exactly how you feel! It's bloody horrible!
I've always suffered with ovulation pain for as long as I can remember, and mine usually lasts between 2 and 4 days!. It gets to the point where i have to sit to one side, my husband finds it highly amusing!.
It might be worth you having a chat with your doctor though just to check that it's definitely that!. If its lasted longer than usual it could be a small cyst that has burst maybe!. I'm sure it's not but it's better to know!.
Luckily Im pregnant at the moment so I'm free of it for the next few months and it's the one thing I won't miss!
Try some strong ibuprofen as well as paracetamol and see if that helps at all!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
