Answers:
Using a tampon is really easy after the first few times!. Once your used to using them, it's really no problem!.
Pads will not give you an infection!.!.!.but you do have to be careful of TTS when using tampons!.

Sometimes, You might have to use that KY jelly (or just lubricating jelly), it helps it "slide" better!. ;-)

Having your period will get easier, then you will hate it forever!. :-D

but!.!.!. WELCOME TO WOMANHOOD!Www@Answer-Health@Com

how old are you!? how do you know that your period is coming!? even if you have other signs of puberty, your period may come much later!. I got hair and breasts in elementary school, but didn't start mine till i was 13!.

its best to be prepared anyway!. especially if you are young, i would suggest starting with pads!. pads don't give you infections!. pads are easier and less likely to leak!.

tampons are pretty easy to put in, but i still wouldn't use them during your first period especially if you are young!. there should be instructions on the box, but if there aren't it's still pretty straight forward!.

just hold onto the plastic or cardboard end and push the TAMPON (NOT TEOPON) into your pussy!. throw the applicator (plastic part) away!.

when it is time to take out your tampon (between 3 and 6 hours, depending on how heavy your flow is, later) pull the string and the tampon should slide out!.

if you keep your tampon in for more than 9 hours you are at risk for TSS (toxic shock syndrome)!. this is not an electric shock, which is what everyone i knew thought when we were young!. im not sure exactly what happens, but i know you have to go to the hospital!.

pads are easier, but messier and sometimes stink, and you should wait for tampons unless you are swimming until you are older!. Www@Answer-Health@Com

I use pads a lot, I've never gotten an infection!. But tampons on the other hand, can give you TSS(toxic shock syndrome) if you don't change it enough!. Tampons are more comfortable, if you want to use them, get some and use 'regular' or 'light' and pearl brand work the best for me!. put one foot on your toilet and stand up straight, then try inserting it at an angle, like towards your spine!. They are better than pads because they are much less stinky, but chances of leaking are a little higher because it can only hold so much!. Www@Answer-Health@Com

I'm sorry you are having trouble getting answers!.!.!.pads and tampons are both safe, in spite of what your mom said!. She is incorrect!. If you wear tampons, they need to be changed every 4-6 hours, but no longer than 8 hours, or you could develop an infection from bacteria that might form!.

See the link below for more info, and feel free to email me if you have more questions!.!.!.my mom and sisters were not much help to me either--so I understand your anxiety!.!.!.

Good luck!Www@Answer-Health@Com

You just need to relax, and follow the instructions on the box! Clean your hands beforehand, squat or raise one leg the first few times and unwrap it and slide it in!.!.!. that easy!

Try it when your flow is a bit heavier to make it more slippery for the first time!. Use a pad till your ready!. Once you've done it you won't know why you were worried!.

Good Luck!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Hey!.!.
Pads won't give you infections unless you leave them in for ages!!
Go and buy some tampons and in the packet there will be easy steps for you to follow!. If your to embarrassed to do that then take a friend or ask a friend if she has an instruction sheet (if your friends have theirs or use them)
Hope this helps!.!.

You should use both pads and tampons, just change them regularly!. Tampons should be kept in for no more than 8 hours and always wear pads to bed!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Pads will not give you an infection if you change them!. Tampons are more prone to infection, or Toxic Shock Syndrome!. if its your first time, i say you should try pads first!. =]Www@Answer-Health@Com
