Ways to prevent period blood stains?!

Question: Ways to prevent period blood stains!?
Today was the first time i had blood stains on my jeans at my school!. It wasn't that embarrassing because my school is an all-girls school but of course, who does wants to get blood stains!.

So, what is the best way to prevent it, especially when you're in school!. thanks!

I would use a tampon, and also a pad!. That way if it leaks, you have a little while until it soaks through your pad!. Just make sure you bring extras with you and check in between classes!. A VERY good warning sign is if you can see blood on the rope thingy about halfway down, you should change it, just to be sure!. If you're sitting in classes all day also, I would NEVER just use a pad unless you had a super light flow, because they cannot be trusted ha-ha!. You tend to sit a certain way, so most of the blood will soak into one spot, therefor leaking!. Add up 8 hours of that!.!.!.!. and yeah!.

I would also keep a sweater or a long sleeve shirt that you don't wear that often in your locker too, that way if something were to happen you can just tie it around your waist!. You could just leave a pair of clean underwear and pants in there too I suppose, seeing as how you go to an all girls school!. A sweater is way less conspicuous in a regular school!. You don't want underwear to accidentally be pulled out or having it fall out of your locker when a boy is around ha-ha!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

The menstrual cup is the best product on the market, it's like going from walking to a bicycle compared to tampons or pads!. I travel to developing countries that don't have good sanitation, it's a life saver!.
A big plus is that you don't have to carry extras around in your bag but moreover it is good for the environment!.
From the divacup site;
"Women, on average, experience a lifetime menstruation span of 41 years (11-52)!. From use of disposable feminine hygiene, an estimated 12 billion sanitary pads and 7 billion tampons are dropped into the U!.S!. environment (U!.S!. 1998) each year!. Our revolutionary, reusable product is a modern, viable alternative to disposable tampons and pads!.

Additionally, tampons and pads contain surfactants, adhesives, additives and dioxin!. Dioxin, a known carcinogen, is a by-product of the bleaching process of rayon tampons!. In landfills, these substances can leach into the environment (groundwater, streams and lakes) causing serious pollution and health concerns!." Www@Answer-Health@Com

Do NOT listen to Valerie if you have a heavy flow tampons will do it too!. Plus they are more of a hassle!.!.!.anyways what I had to do was buy a panty gertile(not one that goes over your stomach it makes cramps worst) to hold my pad in place!.!.and I had to switch to wearing overnight pads all day b/c of my heavy flow!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

if you are regular you can count out the next one so you can be better prepared with protection, dark clothes, etc!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Just take frequent breaks (like after every class) and make sure to bring extra pads or tampons, change them frequently!Www@Answer-Health@Com

Change your tampon or pad more frequently!. Change the size of tampons or pads you wear!. Good Luck!!Www@Answer-Health@Com
