Question: A few questions about teenage girl stuff!?
I just started 9th grade, and in gym class we have to take swimming!. The problem is that I don't know how to use tampons!. I've gone through a whole box of tampons trying to learn how, but it always hurts too much to even try to put it up my vag!. My gym teacher said that you can still swim without a tampon when you're on your period, but I think that's pretty gross!. He said that we can talk to him if we have any concerns about that sort of stuff, but I cannot talk to a guy about this!.!.!. it's wayyyyyyyy too embarrassing So basically, is it possible to have a vagina too small for tampons!? If I can't figure out how to use them, what excuse should I give my teacher for why I can't swim!. (I don't want to tell him the actual reason)Www@Answer-Health@Com

i know this might sound silly, but make sure you are putting it in the right place, also it does hurt some girls to put tampons in!.
i don't think its possible to have a vagina to small for tampons, but if you are really worried go and see a doctor
i really wouldn't advise going swimming while on your period without a tampon!. you could always write him a note telling him that you are on your period and cannot go swimming, but if it really is that embarrassing for you to tell him just say that you are on some medication at the moment and you are having a side effect from the medication and it woulden't be wise for you to go swimming, just make up somthing!.
but i think it would be more wise to just tell him the truth!.

You vagina isn't too small!. Your probably still have your hymen!. The piece of tissue that covers the opening of the vagina!. It's thought to be broken the first time you have sex but most girls usually break theirs doing stuff like stretching, riding horses, swimming, gymnastics etc!. Maybe try inserting it in a different position!. Or get a mirror and look at what you're doing down there!. Www@Answer-Health@Com
You'll need to buy tampax slenders make sure the box says gentle glide or has a plastic applicator , ya you can swim without a tampon but I wouldnt your right that is gross, also read the directions on the back of the box, you might not be putting them in far enough!. Or try using some k-y lub!. on the applicator to help!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

have you tried using them while on your period!? if you aren't on your period when you try them it will hurt a lot because you arent wet enough inside to insert oneWww@Answer-Health@Com

Your teacher is right you don't have to wear anything in the pool (as gross as it sounds) as the water seems to keep the blood from coming out!. I don't know why this is but its true!. To use tampons you have to be in a comfy position and relaxed otherwise the muscles in your vagina contracts and makes it hard to use them!. There are different absorbency's(tampon wise) depending on how heavy your period is so another reason it might not go in easily is because you have the wrong one!. Its always best to see how heavy/light you are so you get the appropriate tampon!. i hope this helps!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
i swim competively!. and I can relate!. you can swim without a tampon, your flow stops when your in the water, but like you I think it is gross!. tampons are tricky but I seriously doubt your to small!. It took me three cycles to figure it out!. what I do it quat and spread my legs really wide!. then insert, also try slim tampons!. another tip try to aim down and not up!.
