Should my wife change her Gyn now?!

Question: Should my wife change her Gyn now!?
We moved to another town and my wife changed her gynecologist!. She is otherwise a healthy 30 year old woman!.

Last week, about a month after her last pap, she was told she had abnormal cells and was told to stay with his office so they could check her next pap in October!. I don't really like this gynecologist since my wife was not given much detail about her result and we are a little nervous, since we are trying to start a family!.

My question is, is it risky for her to start all over again with a new gynecologist and possibly a colposcopy right now!? I don't want to wait until October if it is something worth concern!.

Additional info: This gynecologist has been telling my wife that her occasional bleeding between periods is normal!.

Appreciate the help!Www@Answer-Health@Com

I would change docs and the reason for this is it isn't normal to be bleeding between periods unless she is having alot of stress or her hormones are messed up,or cysts I would ask them to do the tests over and bring the results of the last ones to the new doctor if possible!. They might want to do further testing to make sure everything is ok!. Plus if her pap was abnormal i would want to know why!. Especially seeing she is still young and you want to start a family!.
best of luck to you both Www@Answer-Health@Com

If it is an inconvenience for your wife to go back to her GYN, she may want to consider changing!. She may want to consider changing if she is not satisfied with the other one, but that needs to be her decision!. Seeing a GYN is a very personal matter and her comfort level with her Dr is very important!. If she is however considering changing, she should ask for recommendations from friends, family and co-workers, not just pick someone out of the phonebook!. In the end, this should be her decision to make!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

If you don't like the Dr!. go to a different one!. No need going to a Dr!. you dislike!. How many times has she had the abnormal pap smear!. When my wife had one abnormal they had her come back the next month for a retest!. When it was abnormal she had the colcoscopy and the Dr!. found a few white cells they were collected and tested and nothing wrong was found!. If you don't like the Dr!. by al means get a second opinion!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Stick with the same gyn!. They already know what is going on with her body!. An abnormal result can be scary (i had one too)!. They want you to have a coloposcopy to make sure everything is normal!. it does hurt but its not as bad as not knowing!.

If you aren't happy with a health care professional, and if your not feeling completely informed and comfortable, I would definitely find a different one!.

Thats the main thing!. Is your comfort level, and how much you feel they are taking care of you!. Www@Answer-Health@Com

Anytime you are not happy with a doctor or specialist and you have opportunity to see someone else for a second opinion, you absolutely should do so!.

This is for your peace of mind!.

Be sure and see a specialist!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
