Question: Whats going on with my period!?

So I recentelly went off the pill (not because I'm trying, I just forgot to get a refill) and I had unprotected sex with my boyfriend a three days after my period!. I got a little freaked out and so later on that day I got my BC and took one and the took one the day after that but then i stopped again because i read that you're suppose to start BC the day after your last period!.

Anyway, a few days after that I got my period again but its not like a regular flow its darker a lot darker!.

So I'm wondering what is going on, I stopped talking the BC got my period was off of BC for about a week and then got my period again!

So I'm wondering what this darker period is!?Www@Answer-Health@Com

What you are experiencing sounds like breakthrough bleeding (bleeding that acts a lot like a period but isn't)!.

Breakthrough bleeding can occur because the body is trying to adjust to being off the medication!.
