Question: Birth control pill with antibiotic for acne!?
I started taking Ortho Tri-Cyclen Lo, and my doctor said I can continue taking minocycline for acne, as long as I take them at least 6 hours apart!. Will minocycline reduce the Pill's effectiveness!? It it necessary to stop taking minocycline altogether!?Www@Answer-Health@Com

Your doctor knows best!. If this is an antibiotic that interferes with the effectiveness of the pill she would tell you!. However, you should always use condoms when having sex!. Pregnancy is not the only issue!. You should be most concerned about STD's, unless you are married and in a monogamous relationship!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
