Yea, so I'm going to be getting my first pap smear done soon and honestly!.!.!.!. I'm scared!.!.!.!.
I'm 19, I know!.!.!.!. a little late for my first one, but I'm scared! lol
I've been on bc pills for a few years thats why I'm really getting one!. I'm not sexually active so I don't need it for that, but just to make sure that I'm all good!.
So are they really that bad!? Please so no!.!.!.!.!. hahahaWww@Answer-Health@Com

No way! They way uncomfortable based on the fact that there is someone starring at your private area!. I didn't get my first one until the age of 22 (and I am still a virgin)!. When they are about to do his or her thing just remember to breath out it will loosen the muscle!. Let the doctor know if you are a virgin or not because the tool comes in different sizes!. The smallest ones for the non experienced!. By the way my doc is in and out in about 30 - 45 seconds!. Also I am way more comfortable with a female - at least she has the equipment!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

I had my first pap at 19 in 1982 (virgin) and it was nothing!.
She is quick and the test takes a minute!. It's painless!.
For a virgin the speculum that holds you open may be a little uncomfortable (just relax and stare at the ceiling), but once the pap is done the speculum is removed!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

I honestly can't understand why everyone's so freaked out by pap smears!. I'm 17 and have had 2 done in the past like 3 years and both were completely painless - I don't even know when she actually did it!. If it will help, ask your doctor to talk you through the process so you'll feel less vulnerable!. Remember that your doctor went to school for YEARS studying female health; he/she knows what they're doing :)

I personally had some problems when I was 17, so I had A LOT of them, often 4 in a month!.
They don't hurt much, sometimes just a little pressure!. Focus on the ceiling, or talk to the doctor, or count, whatever works for you!.
Try to stay relaxed, if you are tense, your muscles will tighten and make it a little more uncomfortable and harder to be examined!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Don't worry, it doesn't hurt at all! =] It may feel a bit awkward, but it is a quick procedure and there is nothing to be nervous about!. It may feel a bit strange to have someone staring at your privates, but believe me, it's nothing they haven't seen before! It actually kind of tickled me once the doctor was taking the actual smear, hahaWww@Answer-Health@Com
to be honest, its better if you are not a virgin, it will hurt way less!. make sure that you tell your doctor that you are a virgin before he touches you so he can be gental!. you have to relax, just lay back, take a deep breath, dont squeeze you muscles, it will make it hurt!.!.!.!.its not really painfull, its just uncomfortable!.!.!.!.but you gotta do it!.!.!.!.!.good luckWww@Answer-Health@Com
Having a pap smear test is nothing to worry about , it is pain free!. All that happens is the DR takes a smear from inside your vagina and that is that!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
