Question: Question about the IUD!?
hey has anyone on here had the IUD!? i want to get it im wondering if its considered a day surgery or you go to the doctors!? and does he just insert it!.!.!. and does it hurt!?Www@Answer-Health@Com

I've had one for over a year now!. It can stay in for 5 years!. My periods completely stopped, which has been wonderful!. I did have a hard time getting it inserted, but I have a tilted uterus and that was the reason my doctor gave me!. Will have have another one inserted once this one is taken out!? Probably not, by then I'll have talked my husband into a vasectomy!.
To answer your question, it's done at the doctor's office, just like your yearly exam basically!. I was sore afterwards and crampy!. I did also feel like I had something sticking out of me for about a week, even though I didn't!. I just had that feeling, kind of like a tampon that's not in comfortably!. I had a friend that said she felt the same way!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

I have been on the IUD and I LOVED it!. You just go into the doctors office it only takes a couple of minutes!. I would suggest the one with out the birth controll medication in it so you don't have to worry about weight gain!. I did however have a bad experience with mine where it got lodged into my uterus but I WOULD DO IT AGAIN in a heart beat if I needed to!. Www@Answer-Health@Com
I have had them in the past!. You get it put in at the doctor's office!. He has to slightly dilate your cervix with an instrument to insert it, but it only hurts a little!. After you feel crampy but gets better in a day or so!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
