When you are at school, change it at lunchtime!. Then maybe again right when you come home, and again before you go to bed!. That should be about right!.
My oldest who is almost 12 just started hers this weekend too!. good luck!Www@Answer-Health@Com

ok, so getting your period for the first time can be scary!. You need to change your pad so frequently!. Every 4-6 hrs it depends on your flow as you may need to change it more frequently!. Basically you just need to keep yourself clean down there and especially at that time of the month!. So just change it every 4-6 hrs except for when yo sleep!. Try night time pads they are more absorbent!.

Good luck!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

well when i had my frist period it was heavy like really heavy, u had to change it every 4 hours!. then now its been about a year so i change it like every day!.!. then again everyone is different use ur own judgement!. because if it had a lot on the pad, that means its time to change it!. You need to change your pad whenever it looks like it needs to be changed!. It also depends on how heavy your flow it!. For some people it's every 4 hours, for others it 8+!. Use your best judgment!. Www@Answer-Health@Com
