Can I skip my period on my birth control pills?!

Question: Can I skip my period on my birth control pills!?
I didn't realize my birth control pills had different amounts of hormones each week, so I just skipped the placebo pills on my last pack and started a new pack to skip my period!. I skipped my period, but I had heavy spotting because I didn't realize my hormones would drop severely from week 3 of pack 1 to week 1 of pack 2!. Now I'm at the end of pack 2 on week 3 (the highest hormones) and want to skip my period again!. If I take the week 3 pills from another pack, will I not have spotting and be protected against pregnancy because my hormone levels are the highest they get!? I'll have my period the next week!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Answers:
When I used the pill I used to continue on with the next pack of pills so that I skipped a period and although you can do this occasionally quite safely you really should not do this regularly!.
If you want a birth control method where you skip periods, why not try the Depo Provera injection, you have it once every 13 weeks and I never bled at all whilst it was in my system, although it might take longer to conceive when you come off it!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
