When to expect My next period?!
Question: When to expect My next period!?
Hello all!.!.!.I have had a few bad weeks, my last normal period started on july 31st, then I got pregnant and had an ovarian ectopic preg, and had tremendous bleeding and surgery on sept 7th, so now I am scared to ovulate since my ovaries are in shock from the surgery and my whole abdomen is still sore!.
My questions is when would you think my cycle would resume!? Oh I guess it may be altered too because as of thursday the 11th I still had an hcg level of 181!.!.!.gosh this is not only painful emotionally and phsyically!.!.!.but darn confusing too! any insight!?Www@Answer-Health@Com

Firstly, I am sorry to hear about your ectopic pregnancy!.
Sometimes after surgery it can take a while to get your period back and for your period to become regular again!. The surgery may cause a delay in your period being on time as it normally would be!.
I remember that with my last laparoscopy last year in October, I had some bleeding right after surgery that lasted a few days and after that I didn't get my period back until 6 weeks after my surgery!. A similar thing happened to me when I had surgery back in 2005 for an ovarian cyst!.
The only thing that I can recommend for you to do now is that you take it easy and recover well from your surgery!.
I would recommend you give it about 3-4 weeks from the date of your surgery and if you still don't have a period that you discuss this with your gynaecologist for further evaluation!.
