Are there any Dr's or nurses here??? General women's care question?!

Question: Are there any Dr's or nurses here!?!?!? General women's care question!?
Do you think it's a good idea to use johnson & johnsons baby shampoo as a wash for the vaginal area!. I don't like to use body soaps bc of their strong smells and I'm extremely sensitive to them!. I like to use the baby shampoo it feels great, but i'm not sure if this will cause some sort of reaction eventually or if i should even be using this product at all!.

Does anyone know!?Www@Answer-Health@Com

Trust me if it's gentle enough for a baby it's gentle enough for your pooker!. LOLWww@Answer-Health@Com

Mild shampoo (like baby shampoo) or bar soaps or liquid soaps used on the vulva (externally) should work fine!. For women who have particularly sensitive skin, Ivory or Phisoderm can be helpful!. Soaking in a tub for extending periods with bubble bath can cause irritation in some women and girls, too!. Avoid any sort of (internal) douching as this often will disrupt the natural balance of organisms residing in the vaginal tract, changing pH and/or inducing an infection!. Lastly make it a habit to urinate after intercourse to reduce your risk for contracting an urinary tract infections!.

I hope this is helpful!. Good luck!.

Bottom line: If it has been working well for you, I see no reason to stop!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

You can do that; it's designed so that if it gets in a baby's eyes, it won't hurt them!. Eyes and vaginal areas are more or less the same when it comes to what chemicals they can stand!.

However, there are washes designed specifically for your lady bits!. Summer's Eve makes what they call Femenine Wash or Intimate Cleanser or something like that!. While baby shampoo won't hurt you, these might be slightly better for your parts, since they are made with them in mind!. You can also get them in unscented, which is what I prefer!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

your vagina "washes" itself very effectively, you don't need to and should not wash the vagina!. For the external area between your legs, called the perineum, any mild soap that you like to use on the rest of your body will do fine there!. Be sure to shower, women should never take tub baths, and if you have a hand held shower head, rinse down there thoroughly!. But never put anything inside your vagina to "clean" it, it isn't necessary, and can harm you!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Any kind of soap that isn't going to cause you irritation is certainly the soap you should use!. J&J's Baby Shampoo is hypoallegenic and would be safe to use for washing the vulva area!. Don't wash inside to the vagina as this can cause irritation and dryness and can leave you susceptible to getting infections such as Candida (causes yeast infections)!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Of all shampoo's Johnson's baby shampoo would be the most mild and gentle, to be honest I would avoid putting anything like that down there!. Just use something like Dove or simple soap!. And rinse well (and only use a little)!. Dove soap/Simple and pears soap is very gentle and mild and unperfumed!. As one of the above poster said, never put anything inside your actual vagina!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Used only externally and in *very* small amounts (like a drop or two for the whole genital area), there's no harm in using it that way, but it does strip oil away from skin and hair more effectively than soap does, so watch out for dry skin and use even less of the stuff if it happens!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

You could try Oilatum Shampoo!.

After wearing a mountaineering vest washed in Bio I developed a very nasty recurrent rash under both arms!. When it flares up the Oilatum keeps it clean whilst I heal!.

I only use a tiny amount in each pit!. It works well though!.

It is safe for you to use to!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Baby shampoo is hypoallergenic and balanced for the pH of the skin, so it shouldn't hurt at all if you use it on your external genital area!.!.
For cleaning internally, use a product made for that purpose!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Most shampoos are safe for the body, too!. [ maybe not medicated ones ]!.
Try unscented or hypoallergenic [ Olay, Aveeno ] body washes, too!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

im not a doctor but i use baby shampoo for body soap sometimes and it works great!. so i think you'll be fine!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
