Am I putting it in wrong? PLEASE HELP!?!

Question: Am I putting it in wrong!? PLEASE HELP!!?
OK, I'm 13 and started using tampons in July!. I am still trying to figure out things and make sure everything is alright!. Usually, it doesn't hurt when I insert the top half of the tampon but whenever I push the bottom half (thinner tube), it hurts!. Then I could feel the string and I don't know where to put the string (like should I put the string to the front of my panties or to my asss)!?

PLEASE HELP! Pads are too complicated!Www@Answer-Health@Com

You could try using the ones without the applicator, or just use a pad!. I used the ones with an applicator at first and they burned and felt really awkward!. The string can go anywhere, as long as you can reach it!. Make sure to stick the tampon up as far BACK not UP as you can, then push the tube in!. It's easier after you pee before you wipe, cuz then its a little more slippery!. I personally despise pads, but everyone's different!. The little tube's the one that actually pushes the tampon in, so you could just be putting it in wrong!. Remember to relax, and read the directions in the little box!. :) Www@Answer-Health@Com

It might hurt a little because you haven't had other things in your vagina!. It's normal to feel that way!. It might be touching your hymen or your cervix, which both can be a little tender!.

Where you put the string is not that important!. You'll probably feel it no matter where it goes, just something to get used to; although if the tampon is too low in your vagina, it could be that you are feeling!. It should be way back there, so the only part that is outside you is the string!.

I wouldn't recommend putting the string in your crack though, because it could get bacteria on it which could be transferred to your vagina!. Sometimes that can cause a yeast infection, UTI, or vaginosis - none of which are serious, but they're all uncomfortable and require a visit to the doctor!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Neither cardboard or plastic should hurt!. You are probably not inserting them up far enough!. The reason it hurts when you push the bottom half is because as the dry tampon is emerging from the container it is rubbing against the canal!. Try inserting them further before pushing the bottom half!.

Put the string where it is the most comfortable for you!. Towards the back is probably the most comfortable but it is up to you!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Always tilt it back a little when you put it in, thats the way your body's shaped so it will go in easier and less painful, and the big thing to remember is to always make sure you push it in far enough, if your usuing an applicator, make sure your fingers are touching skin before you push the tampon in and take the applicator out, and if your usuing ones without an applicator, puch it past something that feels like a boney ridge, even though its not bone!. its a good idea to push it in just a tiny bit more after you get it to where its supposed to be, because they dont get ''lost'' inside of you and if they do, the string is within easy reach!.
as for the string, I dont worry about it and just pull my panites up and let it go where it wants
but if your in a bathingsuit then make sure its tucked in

if it's going in and you can't feel it once it's inserted your okay!! The string can just go anywhere you wont feel it as the day goes on, also it's COMPLETELY normal for it to burn in the beginning, when i started using them pushing them up KILLED AND BURNED once i started pushing the second tube I was fine, my close friend is stilll trying to use them (we're 15) and she can get it up but like you it killsss her to push up the second tube!. Just keep doing it and it will soon become more natural

your probably not pushing it in far enough!. you have to push it in so the the part where you hold it is almost in there then pull out the applicator!. and are you using plastic or cardboard bcuz cardboard hurts (ive tried them once and never used them again) the string you just leave it there!. i guess if u feel it you could tuck in your "front" not your bum!. lolWww@Answer-Health@Com

Try lying down to insert the tampon!. Breathe out as you insert it so you relax the muscles!. If its all dry then a little lube will help or wait an hour or so and try again!.
I always tuck the string up in a little bundle and leave it near the opening of the vag!. It can feel weird if the string gets caught in your knickers or labia!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Get plastic round tip tampons!. If it hurts when you are putting it in then you are doing something wrong!. The string can go where ever you want to put it, but don't pull on it, I have never even thought about the string, if I can't feel it, I'm fine!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

A pad, is much easier and safer than tampons!. If you feel they are too big/bulky, than try the thin always!. I wear them everyday, and can't even feel them, it is almost like I don't have one on!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

I remember having the same problem when I was younger!. I always and still do find it helpful to relax and put one foot on top of the toilet, kind of like the captain morgan pose!. Hope this helps!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

It's fine just calm down okay!?

Try reading and looking at the instructions before you insert it!. And then just take your time!. You will know you're doing it right when it feels comfortable!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
