First period after baby?!
Question: First period after baby!?
My son is 8 months old & I am getting my first period (since the lochia after he was born) and it is much heavier than I remember my periods before pregnancy were!.
Has anyone else had a similar experience!?
Did your period also last longer!?
How long before your period went back to normal!?
Thanks!

I actually asked that same question awhile back! I got my period for the first time too when my baby was 8 months old!. I also noticed that it was much heavier!. I think its because basically you didn't have your period for over a year!. (since getting pregnant and then after having the baby)
So after the baby was born, you still had 8 months w/no period and a lot of extra blood and tissue built up!. That first period was a lot heavier and lasted a lot longer than normal!.
That's normal though!. I have had my period a few times since and it is getting back to normal!.
Hope that helps! ;)Www@Answer-Health@Com

Well it took me longer to get my period about almost a year after having my first baby and it was heavy and it lasted for about 1 to 2 weeks!. Now on my second baby i still haven't gotten my period and it's been about 7 months!. It is normal for your period to be heavy or last long it should get back to normal within next month!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
The first, and even first few periods can be messy and not normal compared to what you used to experience!. Give it a few months to regulate and if you ares still having problems then, call your doctor just to be safe!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
Umn!.!.!.I've never had a kid but my cousin has 3 and with the last one she didn't get her period for like 6 or 7 months because she was breast-feeding!.if your not breast-feeding than i don't know what to tell you!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
Your period does tend to change after childbirth I know mine were extremely heavy afterwards and I ended up getting a Mirena coil fitted to stop the bleedingWww@Answer-Health@Com
