Is it okay to workout on your period?!


Question: Is it okay to workout on your period!?
I workout a lot and when I'm on my period I just feel so fat (I know I'm not wheres near overweight) so I love working out, just to tone up and everything!. But my mom says it's not good to work out when your on it, but I can wear tampons now so I think it'll be so much easier for me rather than wearing an uncomfortable pad!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Yes, it's a good thing!. You may feel more tired than normal, so just follow your body's signals!. But it's much better to continue your routine than to drop it and try to pick it up a week later!. It's been a myth forever that girls shouldn't exercise during their periods!. How many girls have used it as an excuse to get out of gym class!Www@Answer-Health@Com

I believe its okay!.
But for me I get lots of cramps, haha!.
But also the reason when you feel fat when you start your period is because like the PMSing whatever going through your body makes you feel bloated and stuff!. Like it makes you cranky or tired or not hungry!. (:Www@Answer-Health@Com

If you want to then just do it! As another poster said, you'll feel better if you do work out during your period!.

I don't usually on my heaviest day, because once I had a very unfortunate accident *blush*
But was ok, I'm glad I had some clean clothes to change into after the shower!Www@Answer-Health@Com

No it's actually really good to work out on your period!. It will help with the PMS blah feelings and exercise actually helps cramps :)Www@Answer-Health@Com

Keep up your normal routine!. Working out is good for cramps and tampons are so much better to use for this because they dont move around and bunch up!.!.!.lol!.!.!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Yes, I'd just put a little baby powder in my panties to help eliminate odor and keep you dry!. Www@Answer-Health@Com
