For women who have had a vaginal hysterectomy (TVH)?!

Question: For women who have had a vaginal hysterectomy (TVH)!?
I'm scheduled for surgery tomorrow!. One of the things that the anesthesiologist told me was that I had the option of having the surgery done with a spinal block rather than under full anesthesia!. Of course if they ran into problems and had to perform a laperotomy (abdominal incision) they'd use full anesthesia, but if they don't need to put me fully under they wouldn't!.

My questions are these:

1!. For women who have had a spinal block during a TVH, how was it!? Was your recovery any faster than you would have otherwise expected!?

2!. For women who have had a TVH, would you personally opt for a spinal block over full anesthesia!?

I'm kind of on the fence about this; there ARE fewer complications associated with a spinal block but !.!.!.!.!.

Thanks for your input!Www@Answer-Health@Com
